3. SPIRALESS-2 - New album
The new album of Spiraless is in progress - we have recorded 7 draft tracks and the new stuff is going very different than the debut album.
The first recording session with the other axe of Spiraless ( Blue2You ) was so excited for me.
I`ll keep you informed how the things goes with the recordings forward!
New drummer and bass player joined in the band - they will be anounced soon as well.
Stay in tune for more news and enjoy of the Summer!
I wrote this song in 2002 and included it in my debut album "Flying Colours".
This version is a bit different from the original, but all solos are exactly the same as the original ones.I tried to keep all parts, because this is a very interesting "tapping based" song.
You can see here how I play some of my favourite licks.
I have changed the arrangement of the backing track only and I hope this version will be exciting at least as the original.
As you can hear I have recorded a second guitar on the main themes as well as on the final solo part.
Enjoy with these "Exotic Nights"!
2.The Neon Mermaid
"This tune is again from my debut album "Flying Colours" recorded on 2002!
The backing track is based on a piano and string instead on a guitar and string as is the original.
There are improved solo parts - i have played more picking licks as well as some tapping lines.
I really enjoy playing this song, because it`s athmospheric, unusual and remind me an old inspiration.
I hope you like this tender tune!
3.Lisa
This is my version of Stanley Clarke`s beautiful tune - Lisa!
Stanley Clarke is really an amazing musician and one of my favourites!
I hope you enjoy!
We have started to work above the second album of SPIRALESS and it will be very exciting for me agian!
New my videos will coming soon on YouTube!
Stay in tune for more news!

New review of SPIRALESS is now out in Department Of Virtuosity - read the excerpt below :
"Their variety of fusion is melodic, quiet and romantic.
Thanks to all instrumentalists' superior technical skills, they deserved to rise to fusion first-division status. Believe me, they play in the same league Frank Gambale, Allan Holdsworth and Scott Henderson strikes the strings!"
New reviews of my solo projects - "Flying Colours", "The Long Road" and "Intuition" are also out in Department Of Virtuosity - read the excerpts below :
========================================
"
If you like atmospheric and romantic guitar music, "Flying Colours" should capture your ears."
========================================
"Upon listening to their playing, I have an impression of rain drops flowing down
into my ears and delivering delicate and romantic tones.
They represent natural acoustic twin guitar style with country, funk and Spanish music influences meant for relaxation, so their offer should appeal to the fans of Strunz & Farah and California Guitar Trio.
If you would like to become downshifters in contemporary fast world, this item will be a perfect solution for your metamorphosis.
========================================
In a sense, this EP can be considered a herald of Spiraless' music.
First of all, I must write that it is jazz/fusion material with many more improvised parts and tricks
on the guitar neck in comparison to his solo debut.
In contrast to Atanas' first two solo releases, this one is focused on distinct pulsating bass guitar,
spectacular experiments, instrumental shows and demonstration of technical skills
without the loss of great guitarwork.
---------------------------------------------
I can willingly recommend this EP to the fans of Frank Gambale, Allan Holdsworth, Scott Henderson and Kosta Vreto.
The new review of SPIRALESS is now out in Hard Rock House - read the excerpt below :
"Spiraless are a musical project built around the talented guitar duo of Atanas Shishkov and Todor Peev.
Joining them on this, their debut as Spiraless, is Kevin Gobin who contributes bass guitar, keyboards and drums.
The music of Spiraless has its roots planted firmly in the genre described as jazz/rock fusion.
---------------------------------------------
Atanas and Todor have great technique that they flaunt in flamboyant fashion
but thankfully never at the expense of the song.
Elsewhere “Smooth Desire” also features some almost liquid like playing
that brings to mind the spirit of Joe Satriani at his most fluid.
---------------------------------------------
All in all a great release that for the most part hits
the spot and showcases two talents that we will hear more from in the future."
Stay in tune for more news soon and enjoy of the Summer!
Peace!

It`s a great honour to participate in this contest organized from the Great One - GREG HOWE!

"Online competition to find the hottest new guitarist
- have YOU got what it takes to be Guitar Idol 2008?
Play in front of thousands of guitar fans AND open up on the main stage for JOE SATRIANI
at the London International Music Show - and win tons of fantastic prizes! ..."
I decided to participate on Guitar Idol with one of my songs.
The first review of SPIRALESS is now out in Hard Rock Haven - read the excerpt below :
"Spiraless is a three man jazz-fusion instrumental rock band
from Reunion Island (Indian Ocean). They have released their debut album,
a self-titled 10-track CD full of emotional, entertaining progressive guitar based music.
The songs range from straight up jazz to rock as well as easy listening contemporary.
---------------------------------------------
It is more similar to calmer more serious efforts from Steve Vai or Joe Satriani
or even fusion bands like Niacin or Ohm.
---------------------------------------------
Much of the record is more under the heading of “mood” music
featuring delicate deep tones from the guitars with a strong bass guitar line,
almost like what you may have heard in a lounge
in the late ‘70s (and even elevator music at times). "
Currently I`m working above new guitar lessons and will keep you informed soon!
Take care!
